Regrets, Algebra, and Summer School.

There are some regrets in life that stick with you and can never be remedied. Lucky for me, my regrets regarding algebra are of the remediable variety. You see, I never finished my high school algebra. There were two reasons for this. The first being that I got a very nice ACT score without being troubled by it. The second being that I many better things to do at the time.

Times have changed since I swore off of Algebra. I'm slightly less impulsive, silly, and lazy, I have much less to do now, and also I think it is really important to learn it. So despite the fact that I've done fine in my college classes, I have decided that this summer I'm going to start going over all my high school algebra. If that doesn't take two years, I also plan too go over Trigonometry...

Overall, it's kind of embarrassing to admit that I was too lazy to do Algebra when I was sixteen. But it was brought on by myself and better now than when I'm standing over my sixteen year old daughter with a look of terror on my face at having to face Saxon.... again....

  2. I think algebra is highly over rated. I only made Autumn do Saxon algebra 1/2.
