Chocolate Poptarts and Pictures

Or, What has been going on in Elisabeth's life lately told in a very disjointed fashion.

So, most of you know that I am not a big fan of breakfast. I almost never feel like eating in the morning unless bacon is on the menu. I just don't like breakfast food for breakfast. I like eggs, cereal, waffles, cinnamon rolls and fruit; just not in the morning. The exception to this rule is poptarts. I can't stand them. I really can't. That is, until I was introduced recently to chocolate poptarts. I fear they may be my downfall. And that's all I have to say about that.

I was informed recently that I needed to get married in the next nine months, because when Mom has her baby in May there will no longer be any room for me in our van, and certain people are rejecting the idea of upgrading to a 15 passenger. What kind of a homeschool family is this? They don't even want the 15 passenger van!

I now own a cell phone, a laptop, a guitar, a camera, an ipod, and a big red suitcase. So I think I am totally set for my trip to Iowa next week. I'm looking forward to it muchly. (Is that a legitimate use of the word "muchly"? Is muchly even a word? I think not...) The camera was a recent acquisition. I'm saving for a digital SLR, so I just got a cheap camera to tide me over until I can afford the one I really want. I took this picture of Walter yesterday:

On Sunday our church had its annual picnic. It was just as much fun as I had anticipated it being. (With the exception that before we left home Freddy and I managed to break the filter on Sam's SLR. I don't want to talk about it.) There was a wicked water fight, which, I am sorry to say, I neglected to get any pictures of. I knew I was in trouble when Gabe came up to me before hand and said "You know, Elisabeth, I'm only going to throw water balloons at you!"

But I did manage to get some pictures of us girls sitting at our table eating, discussing literature and siblings, and messing about with cameras. Here they be:

The girls: Jessica, Natalie, Christa, Sarah, and Ellie.

  3. Oh yeah! I have finally found someone who shares my sentiments about breakfast and breakfast foods! Also, my longings for a dSLR.

Congrats on the coming sibling, too!

  4. Nice picture of Walter... That's really exciting about the new baby-it's hard to picture Wallie as a big brother!

  5. Your mom is pregnant, you're going to Iowa next week, you ate breakfast, and I didn't know!

As your oldest friend, I think you're supposed to tell me these things. :P

Good luck on getting married within nine months.

  6. Lizzie, you should go to college. It's a great way to get an MRS degree and work on "self improvement" at the same time. Especially if you go to a school like Covenant where there are lots of God-loving people all around you, and all aspects of the teaching are truly Christ-centered.

  7. About your vehicle situation. Perhaps your mom and Sam could be persuaded to compromise. A 12 passanger van would work well for your family.

Unless of course you have marital prospects on the horizon.
