The day after Christmas my 4 yr. old cousin, Jason, began chemotherapy in the hopes that it will cure him of leukemia. Jason's diagnosis has been a huge shock to all of us. I don't think anyone really expects this kind of news. He, along with my aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents, all live in Iowa City, and thither I am bound. The idea is that having me there to help however I can will ease their burden in this time of complete craziness.

So tomorrow I am getting on a plane and going east once again. (Iowa is what is generally referred to as "mid-west", but if you live in Oregon, everywhere else is "east".) I am not yet sure what all I will be doing while I'm there or what my
Internet access situation will be, but I'll keep you all generally informed as to my activities and well being.

I plan on being able to keep up with my blog, but if I'm not able to; DON'T PANIC! If you can't live without your dose of Lizzie, you all know how to get in touch with me. (If you, for some insane reason, have not been paying attention, my email is at the bottom this page.)
Peace out!
