Ooops, etc...

That last post was supposed to be posted yesterday. Joanna Newsom is my newest musical discovery. Something about her music is other worldly. Also, I love how unique her voice is. I can see how some might find her irritating, but I find it strangely soothing. Almost innocent. Anyways. That's all I have to say about that.

On Wednesday I got to meet Silas's coworkers for pizza and bowling. Silas has been telling me ever since he started working at showclix how awesome they are. Turns out, he was right. No wonder he loves his job so much. My bowling was pretty sad - I didn't get over 100 - but I had a really amazing good time. (I'm trying to get out o the habit of using the word 'amazing' to describe everything I like. It's taking time.)

Yesterday I had church choir practice. Have I ever told all of you about deep rooted joy in participating in choir? Let me tell you; it's one of my favorite activities ever. Right now we're preparing for City Reformed's Christmas Eve service. We're doing a variety of the usual Christmas hymns and also a Latin piece, Kyrie. I was told this particular version was by Schubert, but a cursory search of youtube would lead me to believe our version was written by someone else.

  1. Not the 80's song "Kyrie" by Mr. Mister, I trust? :) Though that would be different...

  2. Bowling sounds great, I enjoy it although I'm never good at it. Hey how about taking them for karaoke next time? Take it as a solo choir practice lol

Muse with me. Please?
