Cabin Fever Confessions

It snowed, folks. SNOWED. I realize it's barely March, but the awesome weather had me really hopeful. And now those hopes are dashed.  But I'm going to visit MeriBeth (No, I'm not pregnant.) on Tuesday, so that is something nice to look forward to.

Here's a few little bits of information about me. Just 'cause. If you think it's pretentious of me, as in "Who cares about your stupid quirks that, it turns out, everyone has!" Forget you. I can't go to sleep because my husband is working on a presentation for work the robotics team he mentors, in bed, while playing Weezer really loudly, so I can't go to sleep and I'm bored. So here you go.

#1. While Gideon usually enjoys a steady diet of breastmilk, bananas, and homemade mashed sweet potato and carrots mixture, today I fed him chocolate cinnamon frosting and a dill pickle for lunch. The pickle made his poo smell weird.

#2. Carmel is the reason I will never be skinny. Specifically in the form of Ben and Jerry's Vanilla Carmel Fudge ice cream and Trader Joe's carmel sauce. Nom. And I had a carmel frozencino at Coffee Tree Roasters. It was delicious. Britt says it's cause they use expresso there. I don't know. I don't speak the language of coffee. Just carmel.

#3. I frequently wear the same outfit three days in a row if I'm going to be seeing different people each day. I've worn a total of three outfits this week, not counting gym clothes.

#4. I'VE ONLY GOT 15 MORE POUNDS TO LOSE TO GET BACK TO PRE-PREGGO WEIGHT! According to my personal weight loss schedule I have two more months to lose it. Nine months to put it on, nine months to take it off. Hoping to be back to my wedding weight by 1 year. If, ya know, I don't start putting baby weight on again...

That is all. If you made it through all that blather you deserve, like, carmel. Seriously, I have a carmel problem right now. Not even kidding.


  1. No criticism here; random comments need to be released sometimes. Ben and Jerry's only sells at some very few stores where I live. :(

  5. "weigh" to go on the weight loss! That's really great. I still have 10 - 12 to go, and my baby will be 2 years old in a couple of months. :(

    I'm wanting to know how you lost your weight? You look great! Great job!
    I have so much baby weight to lose... but with 10 children, I'm not likely to get to a gym.
    And unless I tape my mouth shut, I'm not sure how I'm gonna stop eating food! :P


  7. Hi Janet! It's nice to "meet" you! I lost my weight two ways;

    First, by exercising alot. I know it's hard to get to the gym when you have kids, but you can work out at home and get the same results! I suggest a T-tapp or Yoga dvd. I go to Yoga about 3 times a week and spin class at least once.

    Second, I eat less. A whole lot less. I have to remind myself that we Americans eat far, far too much. The amount of food I need to eat in some where between 1/2 and 1/3 of what I think I need to eat.

    Good luck with your weight loss! I hope to have ten children some day, which is why it's so important to me to lose the weight in between each kid. If I let it pile up I know it will be much harder to lose!
