I already cut out the fabric for my next quilt and I can't wait to get started piecing the top together. Oh yes.. and I ordered a darning foot for freehanded quilting.

Rainbow Chevrons Quilt
I'm totally hooked on quilts. After my first quilt for my color theory class I decided to try a little bigger project. This was the result.
My dear friend, and midwife, MeriBeth is expecting her first girl after six boys. I made this quilt as a gift for her baby girl, Zipporah Elisabeth who is due to arrive in a couple weeks.
I started quilting it and quickly realized that I was going to need a walking foot for my machine for a quilt this size. I was reluctant at first... but I'm now sold. EVERYONE GO BUY A WALKING FOOT!

ReplyDeleteI gotta tell ya....I love that you got the foot thing cuz I love the quilt!!! I really got a chance to look at it after we got home...and that's when I saw her name on the back..... and all the other little details.... I love it so much!! Thank you so very much.
