Congratulations on your first baby on the way! I am just a few weeks ahead of you at 11, but with my sixth.
The belly band is fantastic. I am the same way and cant stand anything constricting my belly and I bloat really bad at the beginning too. So yeah, I have a huge bump from like 4 weeks on..and I have some pudge..oh well, totally worth it!
I am glad you are researching cloth diapers. We love ours! Still using them at night and at nap time with our 2 1/2 year old. I hope my post helped. I have another coming up soon about a different type of soap we are trying.
